hunspell software package provides spell checker and morphological analyzer (program), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hunspell
hunspell is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hunspell package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hunspell *
You will get with hunspell package name, version, architecture and description in a table
